// Standalone drop-catch console //

Catch the domain the second it drops.

A drop-catch console you run yourself. It sends registration requests at your own interval to 16 registrars at once. Race a list by hand, schedule the window, or watch the registry and register the moment a name is released. Price alerts and a drop-date checker are built in.

Runs on your own desktop or VPS, with your own registrar API keys

// The toolkit //

Five tools. One console.

Three ways to register a dropping name, and two ways to know what's coming before you spend anything.

OperationsRegister the name

Manual DropCatch

You are at the keyboard for the drop. Paste the list, set the interval, hit start.

  • A tab per registrar — or the All Registrars tab, racing every endpoint in the pool at once
  • Request interval in milliseconds, with a live requests-per-second estimate
  • Every response in the results table: status, error code, response code, CSV export
  • A catch stops the run on its own — no wasted requests after the win
See it running

Auto DropCatch

Schedule the window once and go to bed. It opens, fires and closes without you.

  • Drop date, start and end time in UTC, set days ahead
  • Its own registrar and interval per scheduled domain
  • Watch each live window fill up: attempts, rate, time left, last response
  • One master switch holds every scheduled session
See it running

Auto-Register

Don't know the exact drop time? Watch the registry and register the moment it says free.

  • Paste a whole drop list — every name is checked every N minutes
  • RDAP first, WHOIS on port 43 as a fallback
  • Tracks each name from expired to redemption, pending delete and available
  • Register automatically, or get an email and confirm it yourself
See it running
DataKnow what's coming

Price Alerts

Watch what a name costs on the aftermarket and get mailed when the number moves.

  • Sedo, GoDaddy Auctions, Namecheap Market, GoDaddy and Spaceship
  • Through each marketplace's own API, never scraping
  • Your own threshold decides which moves are flagged ALERT
  • Price history per listing, as a sparkline or a full chart
See it running

Availability Checker

Look a name up at the registry and see when it is likely to drop.

  • A plain verdict: available, taken, expired, redemption or pending delete
  • An estimated drop date, with how confident that estimate is
  • The lifecycle timeline, the registry record and the raw RDAP answer
See it running
// Auto DropCatch //

Schedule the drop. Sleep through it.

Give a domain its drop date, a start and end time, a request interval and a registrar. The catch server arms itself, fires at the exact second and stops when the window closes — with this screen open or not.

Live demo · windows open and close on the real UTC clock — try the master switch, or schedule a domain

Windows in UTC

The registry drops on UTC, so every date and time you type is UTC. A window can't drift because of your laptop's time zone.

Watch it work

Currently Processing shows each live window: attempts so far, the rate, time left and the registrar's last answer.

Survives a restart

Schedules are jobs stored in Redis. Reboot the box and every window is still there and still fires.

// Auto-Register //

Don't know when it drops? Watch the registry.

Auto DropCatch races a known window. Auto-Register is the slow, patient counterpart: it checks each expired domain's registry record every few minutes, and registers only once the registry gives a clear "no such domain".

RDAP, then WHOIS

Lookups go straight to the registry over RDAP, falling back to WHOIS on port 43 for TLDs with no RDAP service.

Never fires on a guess

A failed lookup is recorded as an error and retried, never treated as available. Five rejected attempts mark a name lost.

Auto or notify only

Register the instant it frees up, or get an email and confirm with one click.

Know the price. Know the drop date.

Five price sources

Sedo asking prices, GoDaddy Auctions and Namecheap Market bids, and GoDaddy and Spaceship registration prices — each labelled for what it is.

Mailed on every move

Every price change goes to your inbox with the old price, the new one and the percentage. Your threshold decides which ones count as an alert.

A drop date you can trust

The forecast is measured from what the registry reports, and its confidence says so: HIGH when pending delete has started, PROJECTED when the name hasn't even expired.

// Supported registrars //

16 registrars, racing the same drop.

Hold accounts at several, and the same domain can be chased from all of them at once — each with its own key, its own tab and its own place in the race pool.

You bring the accounts and the API credentials — a caught domain lands directly in your own registrar account.

// What's in it //

Built for the ninety seconds that matter.

Everything in the console is there to make one window of time count, and to tell you exactly what happened inside it.

Race every registrar

The All Registrars tab sends the same list to every registrar in the race pool on each tick. Leave any of them out with one click.

Interval you control

Set the gap between requests in milliseconds. The console shows the requests per second it adds up to, and each tab shows that registrar's published rate limit.

Every response, readable

Timestamp, status, error code and response code for every attempt, with filters and CSV export. A failed catch tells you why it failed.

Email notifications

Any SMTP server or a Gmail app password. Get mailed when a scheduled window catches its domain, when a watched name frees up, or when a price moves.

Your keys, your accounts

API credentials are entered once under Registrar Accounts and stored on your own server. A catch lands in your account, not someone else's.

Restart-safe scheduling

Drop windows, registry watches and price checks are all jobs stored in Redis. A reboot pauses them, and they carry on by themselves afterwards.

One UTC clock

A UTC clock sits in the middle of every screen, and every time you enter is read in UTC — the same clock the registry drops on.

Behind an admin login

The first run asks you to create the admin account. Locked out? Reset it from the server with one command.

Set up your way

Light or dark, five accent colours, and registrar tabs you can drag into whatever order you work in.

// How it works //

From install to caught, in four moves.

No account to sign up for, no queue shared with other buyers, no seat to pay for. The console runs on your machine and only uses your API keys.

What you need

  • A PC or a VPS you can leave running
  • Node.js and a Redis instance on that machine
  • At least one registrar account with API access
  • Funds in that account for the registration itself
  1. 1

    Install the console

    Put it on your PC or your VPS and start it. The first run asks you to create the admin login.

  2. 2

    Add your API keys

    Under Registrar Accounts, paste the credentials for any of the sixteen registrars you hold accounts with.

  3. 3

    Point it at your inbox

    Under Settings, add an SMTP server or a Gmail app password, plus Sedo keys if you want Sedo prices.

  4. 4

    Queue the drop

    Race the list by hand, schedule the window, or watch the registry and let it register on its own.

// Where it runs //

Your machine. Your keys. Your catch.

The console is yours to install. Nothing goes through someone else's catcher, and your queue isn't shared with anyone else bidding on the same names.

Desktop / PC

Windows, macOS or Linux. Start it, open the console in your browser on localhost, and close it when you're done.

Runs on localhostNothing leaves your machineFull console, live results

VPS

Run it on a server that never sleeps. Drop windows at 3am, registry checks and price checks keep going while your laptop is closed.

Runs 24/7Lower latency to the registryJobs resume after a reboot
// Questions //

Before you ask.

Which registrars does it support?

Sixteen: Dynadot, Spaceship, GoDaddy, Namecheap, NameSilo, Name.com, GNAME, Enom, Gandi, OpenProvider, ConnectReseller, Joker.com, Real Time Registrar, Above.com, Alibaba Cloud, Amazon Route 53. Each one gets its own tab, its own API credentials and its own place in the race pool.

Do I need my own registrar accounts?

Yes. The console registers through your API keys, so a caught domain lands directly in your own registrar account and is paid from your own funds. There is no middleman account and nothing to transfer afterwards.

What's the difference between Auto DropCatch and Auto-Register?

Auto DropCatch is for when you know the drop window: it fires rapid registration requests from the start time to the end time. Auto-Register is for when you don't: it checks the domain's registry record every few minutes and only sends a registration once the registry says the name is free.

How fast can it fire?

As fast as the interval you set, in milliseconds. On the All Registrars tab every registrar in the pool gets the whole list on every tick. The real limit is each registrar's rate limit, which is shown on its tab, and the connection between your machine and their API. A VPS near the registry can sustain a shorter interval than a home connection.

Can it tell me when a domain will drop?

The Availability Checker looks the name up at the registry and estimates the drop date from the lifecycle stage the registry reports. It labels how confident that estimate is: HIGH once pending delete has started, lower while the owner can still renew or restore the name.

Where do the prices in Price Alerts come from?

From each marketplace's own API: Sedo's asking prices, the current bids on GoDaddy Auctions and Namecheap Market, and the registration prices at GoDaddy and Spaceship. There is no scraping. Every change is emailed to you, and your threshold decides which changes are flagged as an alert.

Is this hosted, or do I run it?

You run it. It's a standalone console you install on your own desktop or VPS, next to Node.js and Redis, behind an admin login you create on the first run. There is no subscription dashboard between you and the registrar.

Does a catch attempt guarantee the domain?

No, and nothing can. Many catchers compete for a dropping domain at the same time, and the registry decides who gets it. What the console gives you is your own attempts, at your own interval, across up to sixteen registrars at the same moment.

DropCatch is standalone software you install and run yourself, using registrar and marketplace API credentials you supply. It is not a registrar or a backorder service, and it is not affiliated with the registrars or marketplaces named on this page; their names identify the APIs it supports. Many catchers compete for a dropping domain and the registry decides who gets it, so no tool can promise a catch. Interfaces shown here are illustrations of the software, drawn with example data.
